Q: How does the app help me?

A: The app provides a robust wellness solution focused on guiding shoppers to healthier nutrition.  

Q: What health conditions are supported?  

A: Currently the app offers support for the following conditions:  Diabetes, Heart Health, Pregnancy / Maternity, Men’s Health, Women’s Health and General Health. Selecting one or more conditions for your health profile, will personalize the app and optimize the experience.  

Q: What features are included in the app?

A: The app provides nutrition guidance tools, personalized offers and recipes.

Download & Installation FAQs

Q: Where can I download the app?

A: You can download the app for free using the Apple App Store and Google Play Store links provided by their program sponsor.

Q: Which mobile devices support the app?

A: The app is available for iPhone and Android phones.

Q: Which mobile operating system is required for app?

A: iOS 10.0 or later and Android 5 (Lollipop) or later.

Q: Can I use the app on multiple devices?

A: Yes, the app can be installed on multiple devices. Simply download the app and install the app on each device you wish to use. After signing in, your account will be accessible from all validated devices.

Q: Can I use the app on an iPad or Android Tablet?

A: For the best experience the app should be used on a mobile phone.

Q: Do I need an account to use the app?

A: While you are able to utilize some features of the app without registering for an account, the experience will be limited. To unlock additional features and to personalize the experience you will need to create an account.   

Q: How do I create an account?  

A:  To create your account, simply complete the account sign up form you are ready to go!

Q: I forgot my password. How do I recover it?

A: Tap the “Forgot Password?” link on the Sign In page. You can choose to receive the password reset instructions by email or text.  

Q: How can I recover my username?

A: The email address you entered to sign up is your username. If you are still experiencing difficulties signing in please contact Customer Care.

Q: Is my Data Secure?

A: Yes. The security of your data is our highest priority. Our data infrastructure leverages secure, encrypted Data Cloud Technology. All data is encrypted during transit and at rest.  In addition, we have in place physical, technical, and administrative security measures to preserve the integrity and security of your information.

Q: Do you sell or share my personal information?

A: We do not sell or share your data with 3rd parties. Any information collected, is used to provide a personalized experience, help us understand program utilization or to improve the overall program offering. Program sponsors are able to access certain aggregate and granular data to evaluate program effectiveness and to track point accrued or level attained.   For more details please refer to our privacy policy.

Q. How do I add or change my health condition(s), dietary preference and allergens?

A: To add or modify your dietary or other health information, go to your health profile section under the more menu.

Food and Nutrition - FAQs

Q. What is a Health Score?

A: Simply put the score is an indication of how aligned the food or recipe is to the optimal nutritional goals for the health condition, or combination of conditions, selected on your health profile. The higher the score the more aligned the food is.

Q. How is a Health Score calculated?

A: The score for an individual food is based on one serving of that food. The nutrient goals are scaled to the proportion of calories in that serving to the daily calorie goal. Next, the percentage the nutrient is less than a scaled minimum goal, or the percentage the nutrient is greater than a scaled maximum goal, are calculated. The score is 100 minus the weighted average of the percentages a food is below or above the scaled goal for a nutrient. Each nutrient is specifically weighted based on nutrition guidelines (clinical expertise and peer-reviewed research) and the specific health condition. The resultant score for any given food is a measure of the alignment of that food relative to a specific health condition on a scale of 0 to 100.

                                     

Q: What is considered a “good score”?

A: Scores range from 0-100. Scores 70 and above are considered to be generally aligned with the optimal nutrition for a specific condition or combination of conditions. The higher the score the more aligned the item is.  Scores can also be shown as “avoid” when a food product is not recommended for a condition (i.e. soft cheese, raw fish for pregnancy)

 

Q. What if I have an allergy or intolerance to certain ingredients, or follow a specific diet?

A: You can set up dietary preference and allergen alerts within your health profile. Simply select the options that apply to you and we will let you now if the food you are viewing is not in alignment with your preference selections.

Q. How can I find foods that are healthy for me?

A: You can browse the food categories found under the nutrition section, to see specific foods recommended for you.  You can also find a food’s Health Score and nutrition facts by scanning the package UPC barcode. And don’t forget to check out the Better for You recommendations to find even heallthier options.

Q: What are “better for you” options?
A:
 These are foods that are similar to the product being viewed, only with a higher score.   Better for you options are an easy way to optimize your nutrition and eat healthier.

Q: What do the dietary preference and allergen alerts mean?
A:
 In order to determine if a product is aligned with a dietary attribute, we analyze the manufacture’s published nutrition, ingredient and processing data. Results can be displayed as:

  1. Aligned with your Preferences:
    Sufficient data is available to determine that the product ingredients, nutrients and / or processing standards do meet the criteria for the selected attribute.
  2. Not aligned with your preferences:
    Product data indicates that the product ingredients, nutrients and / or processing standards do not meet the criteria for a selected attribute.
  3. Unable to determine
    Data is incomplete or cannot be definitely defined as meeting the criteria for a selected attribute.

Note: Our data is continually being updated as additional manufacturer data becomes available and may result in these tags changing to aligned or not aligned. For your safety and consideration, we prefer to alert you when we are not certain.

Offers, Product Recommendations& Recipes – FAQs

Q: Are the offers, recommended products and recipes aligned with my health profile?
A:
 Yes. These items have health scores that indicate the food or recipe is aligned with your optimal nutritional needs.

Q: How do I redeem an offer?
A:
 Click the offer to clip it and apply it to your loyalty card. When you purchase the item using your loyalty number the offer is automatically applied.
